Strong Schools

A good education is the foundation for a lifetime of opportunities for our kids. We must put kids first and ensure they have the tools they need to succeed.

Fully fund the state's obligations to local school districts so they are not forced to cut programs or raise levies to cover state shortfalls
Ensure enrollment fluctuations and state funding formulas don't harm our students' classroom experience
Support adequate state funding so communities aren't pushed toward repeated tax overrides
Advocate for local control over curriculum and educational decisions, because parents and teachers know best
Invest in vocational and technical education pathways that connect students to in-demand jobs right here in Lake County

Safe Communities

Cutting safety and protective services is not an option; we must give first responders the tools they need to protect our community, especially for kids and seniors, our most vulnerable populations.

Give police, fire, and EMS the funding and equipment they need to protect our neighborhoods
