A Proven Community Leader

As a business owner, former teacher, community leader, and mother, Julie Belich understands the issues Lake County families are facing because she lives them every day.

Julie Belich is a small business owner, mother of three, and lifelong Lake County resident running for State Representative in Ohio's 23rd District. Julie grew up in Lake County attending Mentor Public Schools, and earned her degree in Business and Economics from Lake Erie College, right here in our community.

After 15 years in banking and then founding her own construction supply business, Julie has seen firsthand what it takes to meet a payroll, navigate regulations, and create opportunities for people in our community. She brings the real-world experience and financial expertise that Lake County needs in Columbus.

As a former teacher and mother, Julie understands the pressures facing Lake County families. She has spent years volunteering in our schools, serving on crisis hotlines for domestic violence victims, delivering meals to seniors, and coaching youth sports. Julie doesn't just talk about community — she lives it.

Earned her degree right here in Lake County, building a foundation in economics and fiscal policy.

Mentor Public Schools

Lifelong Lake County resident who grew up attending Mentor Public Schools.

Hands-On Experience in Local Schools

  • Worked as a substitute teacher in the Willoughby-Eastlake School District while raising three children
  • Served as a teacher and Board Member at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Willoughby Hills
  • Volunteered as a math tutor for middle school students in the Warrensville Heights City School District

Business Leadership & Economic Expertise

  • Founded and currently operates a construction supply business, bringing firsthand experience with supply chains, regulatory hurdles, and local economic growth
  • Spent 15 years in banking, providing a strong foundation in financial stewardship, risk management, and fiscal responsibility

Community Service & Advocacy

  • Served as a volunteer taking overnight crisis calls for Forbes House, Lake County's domestic violence shelter
  • Delivered meals through Meals on Wheels to local seniors and vulnerable residents
  • Volunteered as a local recreational sports coach, promoting teamwork and active lifestyles for youth
  • Active involvement with the local 4-H program as a parent and mentor, supporting agriculture and youth leadership
